The Building Process
Todd Whittley Construction, Inc.
We begin the home building process by scheduling a meeting to review your
plans and help prepare a list of specifications regarding the items that you
wish to include in your home. If you do not have plans, we will assist you
with the plan process. From the set of home plans and specifications, a
preliminary budget will be created and upon completion in roughly one week,
we will meet again to review the budget. When the budget is agreed upon, a
formal contract and specifications will be produced for your review and
signature. Once accepted, it will take approximately two to three weeks for
banking and title company processing to obtain interim closing. Upon
closing, the construction will begin.
* Design- We can meet with
you and review your ideas, sketches, or preliminary drawings and offer many
suggestions on rooms and other areas that you may not have considered.
* Architect Plans - We can
refer you to an architect to further draw and finalize your plans and attend
the meetings with you, if you would like. This is a complementary service,
and if the architect draws your plans, I do not receive a fee.
* House Placement - We can
conduct a site visit at your land and offer suggestions for house placement
to help reduce construction costs.
* Financing - We can refer
you to one or more banks for interim and permanent funding assistance.
* Land Acquisition - We can
refer you to a realtor for assistance if we do not have a lot available.
* Product Selections - We
can accompany you to the plumbing store, lighting store, and other vendors
to help assist in selections once construction has begun, if you would
like. This is a complimentary service.
